Going Up! - A Tribute
We said our goodbyes to my good friend Eric this week. Sadly Eric died on 17 September 2011 following a stroke the week before. He was 84 years old. Eric and I had been friends for something like 14 years. Having joined Wantage Community Church in 1997 I soon had regular Sunday lunch invites at Eric & Jean's home. Fresh Air 2011

Got a few pics at this year's Fresh Air 2011, a biennial sculpture exhibition held at the Old Rectory in Quenington, Gloucestershire. Some amazing sculptures in some fantastic grounds (including one sculpture by Johannes von Stumm, which I neglected to photograph!).

Don't forget to put Fresh Air 2013 in your diary! 16 June - 7 July 2013.

BTW: I took a few 'non-art' pics - see if you can spot them! ;- )

Trick Photography

Got to spend some quality time (and saw a good film) with my good friend Oli Ward last week. It was a freezing day in Oxford but we both wanted him to trick and me to photograph - a really good opportunity for us both to practice! I managed to take a thousand photos and he managed to cut his hand - but I love the results when the best of his skill meets the best of mine - in a split second (and a bit of luck on my part too). Oli tricked and I photographed on Cornmarket Street, outside the Ashmolean Museum, outside the Said Business School and at the Westgate Car Park, Oxford. Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do.

[BTW: You can keep an eye on Oli on his Youtube channel.]
